Hip Hip Hooray It's the 100th Day....3 days ago. :)

IMG 0332

O.k - so who's fantabulous idea was it to have the 100th and and Groundhogs day within days of each other??????  Oh yeah - that would be Mother Nature's idea - since we missed a whole week of school our 100th day got pushed back and it just so happened to land on the same week as groundhogs day.  Yikes!  SO needless to say it has been a busy week!!  Here is a picture tour through our 100th day of fun!!

Our kindergarten group always likes to share our 100th day excitement with the whole school, so we do a few things in the front lobby for all the children to enjoy!!

IMG 0316Each K student made a footprint.  :)

IMG 0318We also each made a person!!

IMG 0322We also made 100 100s!!

IMG 0299I saw this adorable activity on Mrs. Kimbrell's blog and I loved it!!  So I made one of my own!  Dots to 100

IMG 0300I found this in an OLD 100th day folder I found in the file cabinet.  Sometimes the oldies are the goodies!!  If you want a copy, email and I will scan and send.  :)

IMG 0308I called this Roll Count Roll.  They rolled the dice, counted and then rolled the number with these rolling stamp things I found in the Target $ section a few years ago.

IMG 0305They colored 100 glasses and to wear to lunch.  The lunch ladies always enjoy seeing the kids in their glasses!!  They also made 100 tally marks on their 100th day headband!!

IMG 0315O.K - I couldn't resist this one - check out his glasses - not quite sure how he made them stay on his face!! Love it!! :)

100th Day Snack!!

Each kindergarten class contributed to our snack for the day!!  There were 10 different snacks around our hall and the kids went to each room and counted 10 of each type of snack!!

  9. Well, we prepared the people and the footprints a few days prior so we have time to mount and laminate them. They did the dot activity in the morning for morning work as they arrived to school. I am lucky to have a co teacher in my room during my reading time, so we used that time to do a rotation and that is when they did the Tally headband, the glasses and the Roll Count Roll. After that, we had some time before lunch so that's when we did the pizza. Then when we got back from lunch we started the snack rotation and fruit loop necklaces. Phew - it was a busy day but somehow we got it all done!!
